New Delhi: The National Curriculum Framework will submit its proposals to revive the program by early next year. The program, meanwhile, should be followed in schools across the country from the next school year. The NCF could deliver the final report by February and, thereafter, states would be invited to relaunch the program. If this happens, students will learn books prepared based on the new curriculum in 2023-24. Currently, school boards are following the curriculum proposed by NCF in 2005. It was last August when the Ministry of Education appointed a twelve-member committee led by Dr. Kasturangan to form the national curriculum framework. They had discussions with twenty-five focus groups. In addition, they also held meetings with twenty religious organizations, including Ramakrishna Mission, Chinmaya Mission, two Christian missionary groups, and Muslim cleric organizations.
