ITANAGAR, May 31: Ramakrishna Mission Hospital (RKMH) has agreed to extend its services to beneficiaries of Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) and Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
RKMH was incorporated under these programs on November 22, 2019, but only a few of its departments were extending its services. However, in an addendum to the memorandum of understanding signed on May 30, 2022, the hospital authority has now agreed to expand its services in obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology, neurosurgery, infectious diseases, polytraumatology, plastic surgery and reconstructive. , medical-surgical oncology, etc., in addition to existing services in general medicine, ophthalmology, ENT, pediatrics, etc.
Dr. Nabam Peter, CEO of the national health agency implementing these programs, expressed his gratitude to the RKMH authorities.
“The Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar has rendered invaluable services to the people of Arunachal Pradesh, and with this decision, it assumes greater burden from the state by reducing personal expenses during hospitalization. This will greatly benefit the poor and add a feather to the philanthropic goal of the mission.
The RKMH contributed about 9% of the benefits received by recipients of these social assistance schemes, with a total of 1,360 hospital admissions allowed under the CMAAY and AB-PMJAY.
It is expected that this announcement will overburden the RKMH in terms of streamlining the documentation required under the programs. Citizens must pre-register under CMAAY or get verified under AB-PMJAY to receive benefits.
