Odisha Government eyes better facilities for SVNIRTAR patients – The New Indian Express

By Express News Service BHUBANESWAR: Government of Odisha has decided to develop facilities in the periphery of Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR) at Olatpur in Cuttack district to benefit hundreds of patients visiting the facility every day. Development Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena and 5T Secretary VK Pandian visited the institute on Thursday and discussed with different stakeholders in this regard. Patients from all over Odisha and neighboring states regularly visit SVNIRTAR for treatment. Jena and Pandian oversaw communication and other facilities available at the center. After consultation with locals and doctors, it was decided that a dual carriageway from Niali Adaspur to Olatpur would be constructed so that patients could easily reach NIRTAR. The land/plots around NIRTAR will be acquired and these will be developed. Jena and Pandian also visited different departments in the hospital.
