Mission assists flood victims in Puri

Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar provided relief to over 15,000 flood-affected people in Nimapara and Gop blocks in Puri district.

The relief operation started on August 21 in Khandiakuda village located near the Kushabhadra river embankment and ended at Bhantigram Harijan Sahi of Salanga Panchayat of Nimapara. Chuda and Jaggery were provided to flood victims, Swami Atmaprabhananda said.

He also informed that 1,000 sets of saree, dhoti and Gamuchha will soon be distributed to flood victims in the 2nd phase in the affected areas of Banki and Malipada.

During the relief operation, more than three monastic members and 20 devout volunteers worked day and night to serve the people.
