A day after a video of a newly married woman allegedly under the influence of drugs in the Maqboolpura locality area went viral on social media, police identified her and she was later admitted to the Swami Government Medical College’s Vivekanand De-addiction Center here today.

She was admitted to the center by the provincial deputy of Amritsar (East), Jeevan Jyot Kaur, whose constituency falls under the locality of Maqboolpura. The MP said the woman was from the Lehra Gagga region and had come to Amritsar to pay their respects.
