Engg student stabbed, cell phone looted | Indore News


INDORE: A 19-year-old engineering student was stabbed by a group of men, who looted his mobile phone, in the airfield area on Saturday evening. The incident was reported near the IDA building as the student was walking home with his friend. Head of airfield police station Sanjay Shukla says that Manok Karolwas going home with his friend Kamal Shah on foot when they were accosted by three men. They demanded money to consume alcohol and snatched Karol’s cell phone. Before snatching the phone from him, the accused stabbed Manoj three times in the thighs and chest. Some locals, passing through the area, helped Manoj and took him to a private hospital where he was admitted for treatment. Manoj is a final year student at Swami Vivekanand College on Khandwa Road.
Shukla said they were looking at CCTV footage from nearby areas to verify the identity of the accused. A few people were detained for questioning in this case.
