Anniversary of Pulwama attack: Kashmiri student arrested for posting ‘objectionable’ Whatsapp status in Madhya Pradesh

SRINAGAR: An underage Kashmiri student currently studying in Madhya Pradesh has been arrested by police for posting an objectionable status on Whatsapp on the eve of the third anniversary of the Pulwama attack.

Citing official sources, KDC news agency reported that a B.com Ist year student at Swami Vivekanand Govt college Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh posted an objectionable video on his application status regarding the Lethpora attack.

Quoting the main spokesperson for the J&K student association, Nasir Khuehami, said that the student posted a video of the attack on the Jawans of Pulwama killed on social media and wrote: “this is the Babri’s revenge”.

He said an FIR in this regard has been filed and further investigation has been undertaken.

The student studying under the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) is in police custody and further investigations have been launched, he added.
